You really don't need an elaborate set up or tons of terminal tackle forlocal fishing. The types of tackle you will need depend on the season, thespecies of fish being targeted and what just happens to be working best for thecurrent conditions.
Our best advice is to call the Landing a day or so daybefore your trip. Landing personnel can tell you what been working best. Youcan pick almost any of the terminal tackle you will need at the Landing Tackleshops, just before departure. Whatever you do, if you are coming in from outof town, don't buy your tackle at home. Lures, line, and hooks used in one areaof the country are often not appropriate for another.
The San Diego Landings have complete rental tackle packages available forlocal and long range fishing.
