You really don't need an elaborate set up or tons of terminal tackle for local fishing. The types of tackle you will need depend on the season, the species of fish being targeted and what just happens to be working best for the current conditions.

Our best advice is to call the Landing a day or so day before your trip. Landing personnel can tell you what been working best. You can pick almost any of the terminal tackle you will need at the Landing Tackle shops, just before departure. Whatever you do, if you are coming in from out of town, don't buy your tackle at home. Lures, line, and hooks used in one area of the country are often not appropriate for another.
