Whale Watching & Nature Expeditions

From December through March the California Gray Whale makes a spectacularshowing off the San Diego coast. Following its annual migration path from the Bering Sea to the warm water lagoons of Baja California, tens of thousands ofCalifornia Gray Whales come within a few miles of the San Diego coastline on their journey southward.

Local sportfishing boat operators at H&M Landing operate 2 to 5 hour trips daily duringthe season to view this migration.

For the more adventurous, extended nature expeditions depart SanDiego to explore the seldom visited offshore islands and sea coasts of BajaCalifornia.
